Our lucky year fours had an amazing visit to Vale Park today when they took part in a literacy trust author event. 

They got to meet local author Kathy Tallentire, who read her picture book 'Felipe's Choice and even gifted them a signed copy of the book along with a bookmark.  

The children also took part in football related literacy activities, such as designing a new mascot and also got a special guest appearance from two players. 

To top it all off, they were taken on an exciting grounds tour to find out what working at a football ground is really like!
