Co-op Academy Glebe: Vision and Values
At Co-op Academy Glebe our core Vision and Values are underpinned by 6 key areas:
Togetherness, Hunger to learn, Resilience, Inspiring Individuals, Valuing all and Excel & Enjoy - these form our THRIVE culture, which incorporates high performing experiences where children are engaged and challenged and developed educationally, physically, socially and emotionally. Within these six core values, we also recognise and observe our four Co-op Ways of Being of: Do what matters most, Succeed Together, Show you care and Be Yourself Always.
Togetherness:
We work together to succeed together. We have a healthy connection to each other as a school and recognise the need to work as a team to achieve the best we can.
We identify when someone needs help and when we need others' help.
Hunger to learn:
We come to school with our best self each day. We try our very best at everything we do and show curiosity and determination in our learning. We ask questions and take risks in our learning to maximise our potential. We do not make excuses for ourselves and always strive to do our best.
Resilience:
We can handle all of the hurdles learning can bring. Being resilient means we can weather the storm, go back and try again and not give up. We can self-manage our own distractions and not distract others; creating our own ‘flow’ of learning. We understand that things worth doing are not necessarily easy and take hard work and determination.
Inspiring Individuals:
We inspire each other to do well and achieve each day. We know that to be inspiring means to uplift or encourage someone to do something or feel something creative. We do this by being motivated, a great role model, a positive thinker and passionate about the things we love to do and learn.
Valuing all:
We know that everyone matters. We all have different backgrounds, talents, personalities and preferences and that these are all important. We show respect to everyone and treat everyone as equal. We know we are all part of the Glebe family but celebrate each person for their individual talents and uniqueness.
Excel and Enjoy:
We come to school every day to achieve the very best we can. We reach for the stars in every lesson and enjoy the experience of learning and the successes we achieve. We understand that with hard work we can excel in all areas of our learning and we can achieve anything we put our mind to and more!
